ABSTRACT
The study examined the relationship between learning management system and the academic achievement of Business Education students. Specifically, the study identified the type of learning management systems that are used by Business Education students and further determine the relationship between the use of Zoom, use of Google and use of Edmodo learning management system and academic achievement of Business Education students of Ambrose Alli University, Ekpoma, Edo State. The correlational design was used in the study. The population of this study covered all the seventy eight (78) Business Education students in Ambrose Alli University, Ekpoma, Edo State in the 2020/2021 session. A sample size of all the seventy eight (78) Business Education students was drawn for the study. No sampling technique was used since the population is finite and relatively sizeable. Hence, the entire population representing 100percent was drawn as sample. The research instrument used for the collection of data was a 20 – item questionnaire that was developed from the literature reviewed. Percentages were used to analyze the research question 1 while hypotheses 1 to 3 were tested with the Pearson Product Moment Correlation technique. The three (3) hypotheses were tested at 0.05 level of significance with the aid of Statistical Package for Social Science (SPSS, computer version 20). The result showed that Blackboard, desire2learn, Google Sites, Zoom and Google Classroom are the type of learning management systems used by Business Education students in Ambrose Alli University, Ekpoma, Edo State. It is hereby recommended that Teachers should always pay attention to their classroom management skills so that it affects students’ academic performance positively.
